Hymn of the Week
Rejoice, the Lord is King:
Your Lord and King adore;
Rejoice, give thanks and sing,
And triumph evermore:
Life up your heart, lift up your voice;
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.
Jesus, the Saviour reigns,
The God of truth and love;
When he had purged our stains
He took his seat above:
His kingdom cannot fail,
He rules o'er earth and heav'n;
The keys of death and hell
Are to our Jesus giv'n:
He sits at God's right hand
Till all his foes submit,
And bow to his command
And fall beneath his feet:
Your Lord and King adore;
Rejoice, give thanks and sing,
And triumph evermore:
Life up your heart, lift up your voice;
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.
Jesus, the Saviour reigns,
The God of truth and love;
When he had purged our stains
He took his seat above:
His kingdom cannot fail,
He rules o'er earth and heav'n;
The keys of death and hell
Are to our Jesus giv'n:
He sits at God's right hand
Till all his foes submit,
And bow to his command
And fall beneath his feet:

How low I feel when I think of the great sacrifice God made sending his only begotten Son to earth to die so that I might become the adopted daughter of God. What amazing love and grace! How often our feeble, finite minds forget and how often He must remind us of who He is - He is God! We are the sons and daughters of God! How can we grasp that fact and still be anemic in our service, our love, our faith, our prayers . . .?
